Frodo is a hobbit from the Shire. He grew up in Buckland. His parents Drogo Baggins and Primula Brandybuck died in a boating accident in the year 2980 of the Third Age. His cousin Bilbo Baggins adopted him as his heir. When Bilbo left on adventures Frodo inherited Bag End, Bilbo's hobbit hole on Bagshot Row, and all Bilbo's brlongings including a magical ring at the age of 33. When Frodo was 50 danger had fallen upon him. The magical ring he inherited was a very dangerous ring forged by the dark lord, Sauron. He had to leave the Shire and head for Rivendell. He sold Bag End and bought a small house on the outskirts of Buckland. Frodo fled from the shirewith his friends, Samwise Gamgee, Peregrin Took, and Meriadoc Brandybuck, and black riders chasing them. The hobbits met with a man named Aragorn at the Prancing Pony, who helped them reach Rivendell. Frodo was severly injured on his way to Rivendell by a Ring Wraith. (Black Rider) Elrond healed the wound and there was a meeting about the ring. After a debate a team called the fellowship was created. Frodo was the Ring Bearer and was to take the ring to Mt. Doom and destroy it.
Sam was also a hobbit from the Shire. His parents were Hamfast Gamgee and Bell Goodchild. He lived in Number 3 of Bagshot Row. Sam loved tales of adventure. His desire was to see elves, in which he saw many times on his adventure with Frodo. How did Sam end up getting to go on Frodo's quest to Rivendell (home of some elves) you ask. Well, Sam was an eavesdropper, like myself, and was listening to Frodo and Gandolf''s conversation about the one ring. Gandolf heard Sam and punished him (for eavesdropping) by making him go on the quest to Rivendell. Sam became a member of the fellowship and started his journey to Mount Doom. Sam saved Frodo and the ring many times. He was very loyal companion as well. After the War of the Ring, Sam replanted the Shire and was elected mayor of Michel Delving 7 times. He also married Rose Cotton and had 13 children named Elanor, Frodo, Pippin, Bilbo, Goldilocks, Hamfast, Merry, Tolman, Robin, Rose, Daisy, Primrose, and Ruby. When Rose died he sailed over the Sea.

apart during an attack by orcs. Aragorn fought in many battles of the War

He volunteered to be a member of the fellowship of the ring. He helped save the fellowship in Caradhras. He stood by Gandalf facing the Balrog, before he fell into the darkness. He did not last in the fellowship for long. On the summit of Amon Hen, he was talking to Frodo, trying to persuade Frodo to take the ring to Minas Tirith and defend the city. Boromir was then tempted by the power of the one ring. The ring overpowered him and he tried to take the ring from Frodo. Frodo placed the ring on his finger and disappeared. Boroimir wandered around and walked back to camp. He told the members of the fellowship that were at the camp that he had told Frodo he should take the ring to Minas Tirith and that upon saying that Frodo vanished. Shortyly after a large band orcs came to ambush the fellowship. Boromir fought, but did not prevail. Boromir was killed trying to protect Merry and Pippin from the Orcs.

He met with Frodo and his companions when they had reached Rivendell, for Gandalf had gotten into danger. Gandalf the Grey took a seat at the Council of Elrond and Joined the fellowship. Gandalf proved very loyal. He fell into the darkness in Moria, fighting a balrog. Gandalf the Grey defeated the balrog, but died right after. Gandalf was resurrected into Gandalf the White. He had more power than before. Gandalf the White traveled to Fangorn Forrest, just outside of Isengard, and met with Merry and Pippin. He had the Ents protect the hobbits. He met Aragorn, Legolas, and Gimli in Fangorn forest a few days later. They traveled to the city of Edoras, who's king is being controlled by Saruman. Gandalf draws Saruman from King Théoden's body. Gandalf also played a big part in the battle of Helms Deep, bringing 3000 men to fight. Gandalf also overtook Saruman's position of head of the White Council. He sat at the Council of Elrond representing elves and volunteered to join the fellowship and proved faithful on the journey. Legolas had sensitive senses and was a great archer, which indeed helped the fellowship when attacked. After Gandalf fell the fellowship traveled to Lothlórien, where he became close friends with Gimli. When the fellowship broke, he journeyed west, toward Isengard, to save Merry and Pippin. They met with Gandalf the White in Fangorn Forrest and from there headed to Edoras. When the people of Edoras fled to Helms Deep, he went with them. He fought in the Battle of Helms Deep as Gimli competed with him to slay the most orcs. He traveled to Gondor and fought in the Battle of the Pelennor Fields. After the War of the Ring he longed to sail accross the sea. He did so, taking his everlasting friend, Gimli, with him.
